La herramienta de Reparar Ajustes ("repair_settings.php") se puede usar para reparar algunos de los más cruciales ajustes en tu foro, como la información de la database, rutas de archivos y URLs. La herramienta se puede usar para reparar una instalación de SMF lo suficiente como para que un administrator pueda iniciar sesión y entonces solucionar otros problemas.

¡Copia de seguridad primero! - En teoría, esta herramienta no debería causar ningún problema, pero siempre es aconsejable hacer una backup, por si acaso.

Descarga la Herramienta de Reparar Ajustes

Puedes descargar la Herramienta de Reparar Ajustes (repair_settings.php) desde la sección de herramientas en el centro de Descargas de SMF: repair_settings.php.

Usando la herramienta

Sube el archivo repair_settings.php con un Cliente FTP a la raíz del directorio de tu foro (donde se puede encontrar "Settings.php"). Introduce la URL normal de tu foro, pero en vez de ingresar yoursitename/index.php, ingresa yoursitename/repair_settings.php en el navegador.

Por ejemplo, si tu foro está en el directorio raíz de tu sitio y tu sitio es www.example.com, tienes que ir a http://www.example.com/repair_settings.php. Si está localizado en un subdirectorio llamado, por ejemplo "forum", tienes que ir a: http://www.example.com/forum/repair_settings.php.

ATENCION: La herramienta "repair_settings.php" muestra información delicada sobre la organización de tu servidor, es decir, el usuario y la contraseña de tu base de datos. ¡Asegúrate de que borras el archivo una vez hayas terminado el mantenimiento!

Los ajustes se pueden reparar

En la mayoría de los casos, la herramienta puede detectar el valor correcto para cada uno de los campos y configuraciones que se listan a continuación. La herramienta mostrará un enlace debajo de cada ítem con un valor recomendado; si haces click en estos enlaces se actualizará el correspondiente campo de texto con el valor recomendado. Si quieres que el valor recomendado se use para todos los ajustes en la página, navega hasta el fondo de la página y haz click en el enlace "Restablecer todos los ajustes". Ten cuidado, porque SMF no siempre adivina el valor correcto si el servidor está configurado de manera inusual.

Ajustes Críticos

• Modo de Mantenimiento - Puedes elegir entre activar o desactivar el maintenance mode en tu foro, y también es posible hacer tu foro completamente inutilizable (inaccesible incluso para los administradores).
• Archivo de Idioma - Esto cambia el idioma de tu foro.
• Nombre de cookie - Esto cambia el nombre de la cookie que tu foro crea para el navegador del usuario.
• URLs sin Consultas - Activa y desactiva el uso de consultas en las URLs del foro (../index.php/topic,1.0.html compared to ../index.php?topic=1.0). En el Centro de Administración, este ajuste está visible como Motor de búsqueda de URLs amigables.
• Formato de compresión - Activa y desactiva el formato de compresión.
• Sesiones con bases de datos - Establece cuando las sesiones son controladas por la base de datos.
• Establece el tema por defecto de SMF por defecto en todos los usuarios - Esto anulará la Preferecia de Tema en los perfiles de todos los usuarios.

Ajustes de Base de Datos

Esta sección incluye todas las las configuraciones típicas que se necesitan para conectar a la database de tu foro:

• Servidor

• Tipo de Conexión (Estándar or Persistente)

In this section, you can check that the directory paths and URLs are set correctly for your forum:

Paths & URLs for Themes

This section enables you to check that the directory paths and URLs are correct for the default theme as well as for any other themes that you have installed.

The Repair Settings Tool will allow you to keep your custom theme as default and not reset to the default theme, unless you select the option Set SMF default theme as overall forum default for all users, which is found in the Critical Settings as mentioned above.

Options

The following options appear at the bottom of the page when using the Repair Settings Tool:

• Restore all settings - This changes all the settings to the recommended values, which saves you the effort of clicking on each individual link for the recommended values (as found below each setting). As mentioned above, there is no guarantee that the tool will detect all of the correct settings, so you should use this button with caution.

• Remove all hooks - If mods have installed hooks and a clean install is desired, clicking Remove all hooks will ensure that all mods have all elements removed/disabled. Do not use this button unless you know what you are doing.

• Remove this file. Careful, it may not work in all servers! - If you click this button, the tool will attempt to delete the file repair_settings.php in the root directory of your SMF installation. This is for security reasons. You might have to delete the file manually with your FTP client, though.
• Save Settings - Don't forget to click on this button in order to save the changes that you have made.

Important Note

If you are using a different set of database details (perhaps due to moving your forum, or because you are trying to set up a secondary or test forum), make sure you use the Repair Settings Tool in the following order:

1. Run the Repair Settings Tool and make changes only in the database section. You must save the updated database settings before you do anything else.
2. Run the Repair Settings Tool again. Now you can adjust the directory paths and URLs for your forum.

It is important to use the tool in the above order because some of the directory paths and URLs (such as those for attachments, avatars, and smileys) are stored in the database. This means that if you attempt to change these paths and URLs before you have reset your forum to use the new database, you will in fact be making changes to the old forum database.
