  • Download Oracle VirtualBox
  • Download Ubuntu Server
  • Setup new VM
  • Bridge the network adapter to your internet connection
  • Install openssh on the installation
  • Install Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL, Git
    • Install PHP packages: php-apc,
  • Set Nginx root to /srv/www
  • Run `ifconfig` to get the VM's IP address
  • Setup your hosts file for smf.dev
  • Fork the SMF repo
  • Clone the repo locally
  • Download Workbench
  • Connect workbench via SSH
  • Create a smf schema
