A member is a person who has registered at a forum. It is usually beneficial for a guest to become a member if they intend to post or use the forum more than once.
Features available to members (but not to guests) include:
- Post messages
- Edit your own Profile
- Configure your regarding new posts, topics and forum emails.
- Join membergroups
- The possibility of becoming a moderator or administrator
- Special permissions, and access to member-only areas.
- Personal message system.
- The ability to create new topics and polls
By default, a forum can support 16,777,215 registered members. However, this limit can be raised relatively easily.
