Moderators have the ability to communicate their forum's policy in a number of ways.

One way is by posting topics. Posting these rules in certain boards as "stickied" threads, means that they will always be on top of that board, and thus, will always be able to be viewed by members when first entering that board.

Other ways are editing the news and the registration agreement. Administrators may disable some of these features.

These steps can only be done for global moderators. For local moderators another membergroup must be made so these permissions can be determined.

For the ability to edit the news the edit news permissions needs to be checked. For the registration agreement the moderate forum members permission must be checked.
