Also displayed here is the recent ''Common Support & Issues''. This comes directly from the [http://www.simplemachines.org| Simple Machines] website. This lists common issues with SMF and what you can do about these issues to fix them if you ever encounter any of the issues listed on the page.

Please see SMF1.1:Support and Credits or SMF2.0:Support and Credits depending on the version of SMF you are using.

Support and Credits is accessed through the Administration Center of the forum under the Main category. The page is split into sections to display information about different features and functions on the forum.

  • Support Information - This is the first section displayed. It analyses the server/environment to check that the following components are up-to-date: SMF, PHP, database, graphics library, and the webserver. This information allows easy copying of data into support topics at the Simple Machines Community Forum.
  • Common Support Issues - This is a live feed from the Simple Machines site, with regularly updated information about common issues and their fixes. This section can also contain links and information about running an SMF forum. If the live file cannot be reached for any reason, it will display a message alerting you that it cannot reach the Simple Machines site.
  • Credits - This section serves as a thank you notice to all the volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort into improving SMF and its outlying community. Each member and their role is stated on this list.
