Categories are displayed on the Board Index and are used to organize boards and make it easier for viewers to find their way around. In essence categories are groups of boards that span a subject.

Categories cannot contain other categories or topics, but can contain any number of parent boards. Categories cannot contain child boards because child boards must be children (inside) of other boards.

If enabled by the Administrator, categories can be collapsed and expanded, allowing users to hide categories that do not interest them.

By default, you are limited to creating 255 categories. In the unlikely event that more categories are needed, this limit can be easily increased.
