Known issues in SMF 2.0 Final
- Older versions and newer versions of SMF cannot be installed in the same Postgres database. Please use a different database for the new installation or, if possible, upgrade the old installation to SMF 2.0 Gold. Issue tracked:
- In some particular cases, when awaiting approval, new replies to the topic do not appear in the list. Issue filed:
- The non-WYSIWYG editor has a fixed width of 635px in IE6 and IE7. This also applies to some other textareas and is part of the fix for IE8's "jumping cursor" problem. It should not cause any inconvenience for browsers other than IE6 and IE7, since for other browsers the behavior is further overridden by other parameters.
- Core is a legacy theme, and has remained available in the main package for the convenience of SMF admins. However, it does not support IE6 or IE7 properly, especially IE6 on RTL installations. We recommend using the new default theme in SMF 2.0, Curve, or custom themes based on it. These issues will not be fixed as support for IE6 and IE7 will be dropped in future versions of SMF. - Install and upgrade pages are not RTL-compatible at this stage. This has been tracked for fixing in 2.1. Issue filed:
- CSS files for the editor are called in Subs-Editor.php. As no ?20 suffix is being added here, browsers will still call the previous version's files from cache unless the user has manually cleared their cache. Issue filed:
- Incorrect class specified in ManageNews.template.php. Issue filed:
